'Green Tara in the Slough'
'Green Tara in the Slough'
A recent (1/14/22) painting on glass (back-painted), employing a few elements that I’ve used in some other recent pieces: a woman immersed in a body of water up to her nose, a feeding duck, a turtle, and some lily pads. Meant to be a dream-like scene that viewers can tell their own story about.
Size is 1/22; 22 ⅝” x 29” tall x 1.5” deep, which includes the surround wood frame, painted an off-white (A Benjamin Moore color - ‘Minced Onion’). This was once a craftsman era window frame, now trimmed down to make it visually and physically lighter.
Hangs by a conventional braided wire attached firmly to the back sides with d-rings. Signed on the front, within the composition, and also on the back, with the date and title.
