Poolside Sketches

A few recent pen sketches from a short getaway. Sketching bodies by a pool is much more fleeting than a life drawing session but always good for candid observations of situations, gestures, and the many shapes of humans. And of course pen on paper is total commitment, with no editing possible, no back swiping, or layer blending. As much as I use my iPad for drawing in many settings and love it’s capabilities, in full sun it’s just not something I find enjoyable. Low tech paper rules by the pool.
