Woman in Water (wood)
Woman in Water (wood)
art of an ongoing series that expands on poetic imagery of figures standing still in a body of water, often a lake. This one is one of the few in this series done as a wall sculpture, most are paintings. This pieces evokes a bit of a medieval or renaissance rondel quality, with a contemplative figure who averts her gaze from the viewer as her thoughts and attention are internal. A striking piece in the right setting.
Made from recycling wood scraps that have been stained and painted. Some pieces are hardboard with an acrylic texture applied. A ⅝” plywood backer is painted flat black along the edges. The piece can hang from a braided wire or a small cleat. Both are attached to the back. Ships in a custom box. Boxing included, shipping cost is additional and varies per delivery options.
