Winter Pond Diptych (revised)

Winter Pond - pt 2; R Williamson, acrylic and plaster on a canvas stretched panel; 12” x 12”; 12/24

At Perry & Carlson Gallery in Mount Vernon, (the Washington State version), owner Christian Carlson is displaying both his current work in ‘Lying Supine’, and in the adjacent gallery showing a large group show of small works. These are the artists in the current gallery stable who wanted to show some small scale work, no larger than 14” wide and priced on average at $400 or less.

I had only a few odd ball pieces at this size, including two sets that were conceived as diptychs of square works. One pair, ‘Winter Pound’, was from a show last year. I pulled out them out and punched up some of the colors and made the shadows darker.

The show opening is tomorrow, December 7, 2024 from 2 - 5 pm and both shows continue throughout the month. Address - 508 South 1st Street, Mount Vernon
