The Sleep of Reason ... Redux (yet again)

‘The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters - Redux’ - R Williamson; 2016

This homage to Goya was something that I made in 2016 in the run up to the election. I hate knowing that it’s as relevant as ever. Francisco Goya, one of the boldest and most fearless artist commentators we have ever seen. I bought a Dover edition of Los Caprichos in high school and became spellbound by his biting critiques of society. Still have that dog-eared edition.

This is one of my early attempts to draw on the iPad using Procreate software.
