When iPhones go for a Swim

Once again, a piece with a water setting.

A friend had a kayaking mishap on the Dwamish River the other day. Capsized. Things lost overboard, but she came out OK; throughly chilled but OK. Missing her iPhone and some other loose possessions..

I drew her this quick recreation of the moment for her drawing group. As an equally quick experiment, I added a watery animation using an app called Pixaloop on my iPad. Might be too gimmicky, I’d be curious in opinions. But it was interesting to test the capability of having the phone loop downward, while directing Cyn and the bubbles to drift upward. The app is geared toward photos but seems to work just as well for drawings/paintings.
