Volli Maryville - installed murals

Finally got to see the installed versions of the digital murals that I made for Volli, recently opened up in Marysville, Washington. I had previously posted grainy mock-uped versions of both of these several months ago. Always interesting to see the real deal and make comparisons.

One thing that I hadn’t totally realized was just how incredibly red the counter die at the bar was going to be. Fortunately the orange and red on the right side of the mural holds up pretty well to that intensity. What I wasn’t able to see yet was how it looks at night. I have a feeling that they are going to need some more lighting for both these walls come winter time.

In the meantime, I’m still making a series of square sports posters for deeper inside the facility and I disavow any association with the weird signage design.
