A warm-up study for an upcoming sculpture piece, a warm pink kick pedal, 48” tall. Since the last one I did was serious, dark gray/black, and industrial, I felt like a color version would be fun for a sun drenched, Southern California kind of vibe. It will be way funkier/chunkier than this painted version though. Summer calls, COVID or no.

Painted with gouache and watercolor on heavyweight Arches cold pressed watercolor paper. A minimalist take on the musical heartbeat. Inspired by a luscious, new tube of Winsor and Newton ‘Bengal Rose’ gouache that I bought just last week. Size is 22’ wide x 30” tall.
