A new digital abstract mural design based on some textile art from the 1960’s. Having just seen the exhibition, ‘Woven Histories - Textiles and Modern Abstraction’, at the National Gallery in Washington, DC., I felt inspired to draw on some simple woven motifs for new mural designs. The warp and weft of certain fabric samples that use very open spacing conjures for me the look of freehand pen and ink crosshatching. That is how this piece was born. ‘Loosely Woven’ will be offered in 6 color ways from deep vivids colors to a mid-tone neutral.

The exhibit is on view until July 28, ‘24., then moves to the National Gallery in Canada before finishing at MOMA in New York.
