Horiuchi's Drum Kit

A mixed media piece on paper for a new show at the Lighthouse Roasters. The show also gets it’s name from this piece and features a variety of work, many that use percussion instruments as a starting point, and sometimes as an ending point. Paul Horiuchi was one of Seattle’s most elegant mid-century artists who often worked with colored rice papers in collaged compositions. The show runs for the month of March and I’m still working on some of the pieces (!)
