A more vertical version of an earlier painting, ‘Green Tara / Celadon Pond’ adds a few new elements and rearranges others. The lily pad supporting the book and the teacup lends it a stronger dose of the whimsical.
The inspiration for this piece is an amalgam of day dreams, observations of the natural world, and some paintings of the Royal Court of Jodhpur. The result is a fantasy of sorts, a picture looking for a story yet to be written.
