Formal Wear (by Eve Cohen) at Fresh Mochi

A show opening at Fresh Mochi (‘Uniform’) in Seattles North Beacon Hill neighborhood included this exquisite fashion creation by Eve Cohen. A Seattle based costume designer, visual designer, and performance artist, Cohen concocted ‘Formal Wear’ from various cast off and found objects including several types of lamp shades, with crepe paper, cardboard, brocade and a feather. A kind of Dadaesque bell-bottomed, Heidi marching band uniform, with California quail headpiece. Fresh Mochi is the corner store art space of Elizabeth Jameson. Next event connected to this show will be May 14, 2022 Saturday, 2:00pm with an informal talk with the artists involved. Otherwise only open by appointment.
