Showing here a new wall sculpture in progress in the studio. ‘Decayed Stump (Confetti)’ rests on a 2x2 ledger board while I finish it up in the next day. This is the first stump I’ve made in more than a year. To be featured in my upcoming show at Perry & Carlson in Mount Vernon, WA in June, although it might be the only piece that is made using this technique.

When completed, the piece will hang on the wall with either a wire or French cleat, so it won’t spread to be resting as it does in this snapshot. Size is 48” tall, the most narrow of all the stumps so far. They tend to splay out at the bottom.
