Most of my percussion based pieces to date have been done on paper, so it seemed appropriate to try doing some of the same elements but using the back painted glass technique. The point of this one was to highlight the bass pedal and have everything else be subservient to it. Some of the colors are so light and neutral as to almost disappear into the background.

The palette combines off-whites, grays, and dirty creams. Also, I made some lines here by scratching into the tender, recently dried paint and then covering the whole thing with black, (from the back). The result is seen in some of the then dark lines.
