This painting is a gift tailored to one of my daughters who over the holidays came to my studio. In search of a painting to use in her apartment, she saw a piece from a couple years ago that included this type of imagery and was also drawn to a more graphic semi-abstract work on paper with a deep magenta/violet palette.

We decided to try and do a mash-up of the imagery of one with the color palette of the other. Kind of a challenge to execute due to the constraints of the narrow color gamut but this is how I tried to resolve it.
