This collage is part of the ongoing my percussion/rhythm series that I’ve been working on this spring. Here using some new materials that I found around the studio. Used sandpaper, crinkly matte black foil, and stencil paper are all used in addition to the usual rice papers that I’ve been using on these pieces. (‘Batteria’ is a versatile Italian word that refers to drums, ‘Bozzetto’ is one of several words that mean sketch.) This has a wide margin on all four sides of the heavyweight (300lb) Arches cotton rag watercolor paper support. Will be available as the original and as prints. Original size: 22 ½” x 30”.
