Baguus

Baguus - right side of mural wall; R Williamson; large format digital print; 10/21

Baguus Little Asia will be opening in a week from now and most elements are now installed. This includes the wide mural that I made for them as well as the diagrammatic sign panels that instruct people how to how the auto dispensing beer taps.

This is intended to be a casual place serving food inspired by the traditions of Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. The mural image with it’s graphic novel styling lend a fantasy atmosphere where the viewer can step into a street scene in ancient Nara or Tokyo. The decorative left side of the mural leans on Edo era kimono fabric and the tradition of indigo dying to create a background surround for wall of beer taps. The customers with dispense their own pints using a card that is supplied by the hostess.

Location is 23511 56th Ave W #107, Montlake Terrace in Washington State.
